Meet the Owners

 Marc has 41 years’ experience in the electrical contracting industry. Before starting On Call Electric, Marc was a Regional Vice President for Quanta Services in the northeast markets. Marc holds a Master Electrician’s license in multiple states including Connecticut, North Carolina and Florida. He also serves on the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) Code Panel 4 (overhead clearances) and the Underwriter’s Laboratories (UL) Standards Technical Panel (STP 1565, Positioning Devices). 

Both Marc and his wife, Linda, founded Candels Estimating LLC in 2003, and are electrical consultants for estimating, construction claims, and estimating training.

 Linda Candels, one of the founding partners of On Call Electric, received her undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Connecticut. Go Huskies! Linda's experience is vast and she has worked in sales and marketing positions at the Otis Elevator Company, United Abrasives, Baumer Electric, Colt’s Manufacturing and ABS Pumps. Linda has strong experience in business-to-business marketing and has used that experience to the company’s advantage. Mrs. Candels has written for several industry magazines including Estimating Today, IEC Insights, and Electrical Construction & Maintenance (EC&M) Magazine. Linda also spearheaded the development of a program to teach electrical estimating online. It's the only program of its kind.
